A free afternoon/evening party at God's Garden, a Deep Mulch Dry Farm in NE Portland that uses a revolutionary yet simple technique to grow 1000lbs of organic food per year without added water or fertilizer. Sip on herbal elixirs crafted from the garden while listening to a DJ spin vinyl amidst the flowers, and soak in the beauty and budding culture of regenerative urban agriculture. Listen to a workshop on deep mulch, go on a garden tour, lend a hand in the volunteer work party, or just hang out and make pizzas with garden grown toppings to fire in the hand-built cob oven. It’s going to be a night you don’t want to miss!

Our intention with this gathering is to build a culture around regenerative urban agriculture and show folks that farming is fun! We want to bring together community members to connect in the spirit of land-tending and embrace our shared space with joy.

There will be a community resource map set up for folks to share their resources and find mutually beneficial connections within the city. Reishi Strauss of Earth + Spirit Botanicals will be serving up fresh Herbal Elixirs from the garden, and the cob pizza oven will be hot and ready to fire personal pizzas for those who are hungry. We will also have some vegan + gluten free options for snacking directly from the garden. Bring your appetite, or build one while getting your hands dirty in the garden as we work together and feel the power of many hands tending the land in unison.
